Church Administrator

Part-Time | In-office | 20 hours per week
Glendale Baptist Church seeks a detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative Church Administrator to support the daily operations of our inclusive, justice-centered congregation. This non-clergy role serves as a central hub for administration, communications, facilities coordination, and community engagement, ensuring that the church’s ministries, worship, and programs run smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Operations & Office Management
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations to ensure effective workflow and communication
- Serve as primary contact for email, phone, mail, and correspondence
- Support members and staff by responding to inquiries and sharing worship materials
- Maintain office supplies, and equipment
- Maintain master calendar
Finance & Records
- Maintain church membership and contribution data in Breeze database software
- Generate and distribute annual giving reports for members
- Liaise with treasurer/bookkeeper
Worship Support & Communications
- Attend in-person weekly staff meetings and other meetings as needed
- Compile, print, and distribute bulletins, newsletters, announcements, ballots, and other worship materials
- Gather social media and website content from church staff and members
- In collaboration with church staff, develop social content in Canva or other graphic design platform
- Regularly update church website with gathered content
- Regularly post on social media, including advertising for events and church initiatives
- Monitor church’s digital presence and social media analytics, and report regularly back to church staff
Facilities & Safety
- Coordinate building access and use by vendors, contracted services (cleaning, HVAC, lawn, etc.), visitors, and community partners
- Coordinate maintenance and minor repairs of church facilities and grounds
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Proficient with databases, social media, and website maintenance
- Experience with graphic design (i.e. Canva)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Experience with church or nonprofit settings preferred
- Successful applicant will be required to complete a satisfactory background check
WORK SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
This is an in-office, part-time (20 hrs/week) position with an hourly rate of $28 per hour.
