Luke14:12

On the second Tuesday of each month, Glendalers join the team of Luke 14:12, a non-profit soup kitchen, to serve hot, nutritious meals to people in Nashville who are experiencing homelessness and who don’t have consistent access to sustaining meals.  Luke 14:12 has been serving meals in Nashville for nearly 30 years. Glendaler Amy Dodson-Watts is the Executive Director of Luke 14:12.

On the first and third Fridays of each month from November through March, you’ll find Glendalers in our Fellowship Hall providing safe shelter, warm meals, and fellowship for some of our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. Glendale has been participating in Room in the Inn from its beginning.

Tennessee Interfaith Power and Light

The mission of TN Interfaith Power and Light to “spiritually respond to the challenges of the climate crisis through upholding the sacredness of all life, protecting vulnerable communities, and caring for the Earth” echoes our commitment to care for all of creation. In addition to our participation with TIPL, our Green Team leads us in living out this commitment through a recycling program, reducing our use of plastics, and using our grounds in environmentally responsible ways.
