The Mears Webb family and the Glendale Baptist Church community of faith are grieving the loss of our beloved Emmie, age 8. Emmie’s short life was filled with love, laughter and grace which she abundantly received from and abundantly gave to her friends and family. Words cannot come close to capturing the love and sadness that we are experiencing. But we also know and experience the great truth that nothing can separate us from the love of God and ultimately nothing can separate us from those we love. We know that the thoughts and prayers of many outside of our family and our faith community are with us and we are grateful.

Emmie is survived by her parents Amy Mears and David Webb, two sisters, Lara and Mia and brother, Danny; grandparents Ted and Betty Mears and Barbara and Billy Webb; uncles and aunts David Mears, Joel and Beth Mears, Andy Webb, and Matt and Dawn Webb; and 10 loving cousins.

Emmie was born June 1, 2001. She was a vibrant part of Glendale Baptist Church, in third grade at Glendale Spanish Immersion Elementary School, an enthusiastic soccer player, a student of the piano, and a lover of animals of all sorts and zebras in particular. She was bright and loving, kind and gentle, and Emmie brought joy into the lives of many.
