Lara Checks In

7/14/2010

I can tell you one thing; seeing wolves almost take down a buffalo is the coolest  thing ever! One wolf was sent out by the pack and was looking for something to hunt.  He saw two bison and figured out which one was weaker.  When it figured it out it howled to the pack and the pack howled back!  it was waaay cool!  Unfortunately we had to leave before it got it because it got dark!

Ring Lake Ranch is one of the coolest places I have ever seen!  I love the horses!  My favorite ones to ride so far are Diamond, Moe, and Jake!  Moe is the biggest horse ever! The trail we rode on today went through water twice.  My horse, Diamond, tried to lie down.  So fun!!

The summer is flying by.  Thanks to my youth friends for the letter!

    Whoa.
Cool for you, not so much for the Bison!

(Just kidding - that must have been amazing!)

So Lara, my question is, did your heart jump as Diamond tried to lie down? I think I might have freaked out a little bit trying to figure out what to do. I'm sure you handled it fantastically!

    Wolves and horses
I love reading your animal stories! I can almost see it since I watch lots of Ch. 8's Nature.

The first time I went horseback riding it was a very hot July day and my horse, Suzy, was very pregnant. She got tired of the heat and headed to the pond. Since I was on her back, I did too. She took me for a ride/swim around the pond and we were both cooler when she came out.

    Keep the stories coming!

    What fun!
Lara, what fun your 'entrances" have been to read. You all are having such exciting adventures. Can't wait to hear all about them! Tell //danny we lost the "comment box" and haven't been able to respond to his ";ost" but have enjoyed them too. Hey to everybody.
    Love y'all!

Glad its you and not me
Riding horses....cause I am skeered of them. Truly. Even if they are lying down in water. Cause they get up!!

Um, you can come home now...for a minute or two and then go back out there.

    Miss you love!
