Last evening, our sabbatical summer officially came to a close--and in such a spectacular way!!  The "docking" party at Percy Priest Lake beautifully wrapped up what began with the "launching" party in May.

That would be Stone Mountain, GA.  Because we were informed that, though I'm extremely sure that they were born at University Hospital in Augusta, if they haven't climbed Stone Mountain, they can't actually say that they're Georgia kids.

One of our very early ideas for this western excursion was to spend a day with a guide learning to fly-fish on one of these gorgeous Wyoming or Montana rivers.  Having gotten a whole lot of hypothetical information by telephone more than a year ago, we wrote the cost of time and dollars into the grant proposal--so basically it was a done deal.
