NOAH Accountability Meeting with the Mayor October 29th at 3pm

10/19/2017

Glendale is a dues-paying member of Nashville Organized For Action and Hope (NOAH).  NOAH, an affiliate of a Gamaliel Foundation, is a faith-led coalition comprised of congregations, community organizations, and labor unions that work as a unified voice for faith and justice in Nashville. NOAH leaders work to hold public officials accountable to the needs of the community, especially for its most vulnerable members. NOAH currently focuses on three campaign areas: affordable housing, economic equity, and criminal justice.

Glendale participates in NOAH by sending voting representatives to monthly board meetings, participating in strategy meetings for the three campaign areas, and attending public actions with elected officials. Any Glendale member can contribute to the work of NOAH simply by attending meetings or actions. NOAH becomes a stronger political voice when we show up in large numbers committed to creating change for our city.

The next opportunity to support NOAH is coming up soon! On October 29th, 3:00pm at The Temple Church, NOAH will host Mayor Megan Barry for an accountability meeting. NOAH will ask Mayor Barry to publicly commit to asks from NOAH's platform in front of an audience of 1,500 community members- including us! Come out and help show the Mayor that people of faith in Nashville care about the work of justice for our most marginalized citizens.
