Glendale has long been known for its music! Under the leadership of Marjorie Halbert and Karen Turner, the choral music program at Glendale achieved great heights. In 2007, Don Schlosser and Linda Ray Miller, along with Kyle Rybzyk took on the task of continuing their good work. Now the music program has expanded to include the Adult choir, Children's Choir, Handbell Choir, and String Ensemble, along with occasional offerings by the Youth and various soloists from the church.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir meets every Wednesday evening from 5:15 to 6:00 for rehearsal. We proide music for all Sunday morning worship services and many vespers services as well. Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir rehearses every Sunday morning at 8:30 am. They play about once a month in Sunday morning worship. Current Handbell Choir members include April Baker, Samatha Rockey, Lara Web, Jimmy Davis, Evan Davis, Amy Mears, and Kimber Rockey. The Handbell Choir is directed by Linda Ray Miller.
Glendale Strings Ensemble
Thom Elsberry directs our String Ensemble which rehearses after worship services on Sunday as scheduled. Current members include Anna Bernard, violin, Davis Gooch, violin, Alexis Maynard, cello, Margie Kiani-Way, and Thom Elsberry, guitar. The Strings play in Sunday morning worship approximately once a month.
Children's Choir
Glendale's children meet for choir practice on Wednesday evenings, alternating with Missions studies. They will occasionally sing in worship services.
