Glendale's Green Team is committed to helping Glendalers be more conscious of the spiritual dimensions of being conscious of the earth and our environment. How does taking care of the earth help us to grow closer to God?

We began in 2006 with a small group who had seen Kilowatt Hours, a documentary on how our overuse of the earths resources was slowly destroying our environment. We meet as needed, usually after worship on Sunday, to plan events and monitor how Glendale is making use of its resources.

The Glendale Green Team has accomplished the following:

* Weekly Recycling by Green Team Members
* Encouraging Office Staff and Volunteers to use less
* Encouraging the use of ecologically responsible materials in our remodeling
* Working with the Administration Division for more responsible grounds keeping
