Glendale's First Visit to Cuba
Early on Sunday morning, July 9, 2000, seven Glendalers departed Nashville for Santa Clara, Cuba. They went to explore the possibility of establishing a partnership between Glendale and a Cuban Baptist church.
The trip was in the making for almost two years and much hard work and prayer went into the planning. Our travelers were Jim Berry, Marth Jo Berry, Mark Caldwell, David Gooch, Lisa Lehr, Ginger Newman, and Bill Northrup.
The group returned on July 14, and on July 16 they brought greetings from and stories about our new-found Cuban brothers and sisters to Sunday morning worship.
This site will reflect Glendale's ongoing partnership with the church in Santa Clara. Join us as we journey with our Cuban friends.
