Glendale Baptist Church of Nashville, TN
A caring community of equality and grace

Glendale Baptist Church supports many missions organizations in Nashville and throughout the world with our financial resources as well as hands on involvement. Below are just a few of the missions activities that Glendale supports on a regular basis.

Room in the Inn
Each winter from November through March, Glendale Baptist Church participates as a host for guests from the Campus for Human Development's Room In The Inn Program.  On the first and third Friday, a combination of Glendale volunteers and deacons' groups help to provide meals, fellowship and shelter for some of our community's homeless.  We invite you to participate.
Luke 14:12
He said also to the man who had invited him, "When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your kinsmen or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and you be repaid." Luke 14:12
For twenty years, Glendale Baptist Church, has been involved in addressing some of the needs of the homeless and hungry in Nashville by participating in the efforts of a nonprofit organization called Luke 14:12.  Many Glendalers also know this group as the Edgehill Soup Kitchen.
A noon meal is served twice a week at the Edgehill United Methodist Church.  On the second Tuesday of each month Glendalers volunteer from noon until 1:00 PM to prepare and serve the meal.  In addition to hands-on volunteer help, Glendale provides monetary support through its annual missions budget. Habitat for Humanity - Unity Build
Glendale will be participating in the building of a home for a new Habitat Homeowner on Saturday, October 2nd. This day should involve painting, finish carpentry, possibly some yard work, etc, etc. Please plan to join us at 7:00 am and stay as long as possible that day. We generally finish up around 4:00 depending on our progress and the weather. (See announcement).
TNT ~ Tying Nashville Together
TNT offers opportunity for volunteers to work with others in a faith-based, community-organizing group in areas such as housing, neighborhoods, children and education, and public transportation. There are lots of way to be involved.

Since the summer of 2000, Glendale Baptist Church has had a partnership with Baptists at the Alberto J. Diaz Baptist Church in Santa Clara, Cuba.  We invite you to click on Cuba News below to read about our trips there and to see some photographs of this very special place.
