The loving, caring spirit at Glendale reaches out to those experiencing personal, family, or health crises. In addition to the ministries of the deacon groups, many individuals-both members and non-members-have depended heavily upon the pastors for care and counseling during difficult times in their lives.
In 2003, Glendale completed a study of Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth, which has affirmed the church's openness to welcoming gay and lesbian members.
Finally, the church supports many different missions-locally, nationally, and internationally-including its partner church in Santa Clara, Cuba.
